Alexis' Bio

Alexis McCarley played for West Georgia Volleyball Club from 2010-2013 and GSU Club from 2013-2014. She coached for Spike Atlanta in 2018-2019 and still plays high level competitive adult volleyball.  She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and currently works as a mechanical engineer for Woodard & Curran.

She loves volleyball because it has connected her to many great people in her life and was a sport she completely fell in love with from the beginning. She wants to coach because she loves being able to see the girls continuously improve throughout the season and gain confidence in themselves and their skills. Club volleyball was such a fun part of her life and she wants the sport to continue to grow in Georgia. She hopes to teach her athletes about accountability, dedication and communication. These are immensely important skills to develop at a younger age and are very important in life.
