Allison Nash has played volleyball since she was nine; she has played for fifteen years and received a full volleyball and soccer scholarship to Moraine Valley Community College. She graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in finance and currently works as a Sales Operations Analyst at NCR.
She loves volleyball because she thinks it is the best team sport to play. Throughout her career she's played soccer, basketball and volleyball all throughout grammar school and high school. She found volleyball to be the sport that she connected with the most and eventually became the most serious about. It is the only sport that she truly loved more than the rest, and gave her another family of girls that will stay with her for the rest of her life.
She wants to coach because she wants to give back to the generations beneath her. She wants to teach them the game that she loves and wants the girls to find their passion for volleyball the same way she did. She hopes that her athletes will find their passion as well as an extended family. Her girls will be spending a lot of time with each other and she hopes that they can find lifelong friends that will become family. She also wants to teach them that is okay to make mistakes, because making mistakes builds character. As long as you try your best and give whatever you do your all, you will never fail!
Who inspires me (why): The biggest inspiration in her life is her Grandfather. He played a very large role in raising her and she strives to make him proud every single day.
