Kate's Bio

Kate Patnett played volleyball for nine years; she received a scholarship to play at Moraine Valley Community College and still plays competitive adult volleyball. She graduated with a BS in finance from Illinois State University and currently works in corporate finance and accounting for Acuity Brands Lighting.

She loves volleyball because she loves the team camaraderie and how it can never be a one man show. The team must work together as one to have a successful play. She wants to coach so she can not only build player's skills, but build their confidence and team building skills. Playing sports has given her countless memories, friendships, and life skills. She hopes she can give back to a community that has made her the person she is today. She hopes to teach her athletes that your team you surround yourself with today will make you the person you are tomorrow. She wants the girls to have a successful volleyball career, but she also wants to help develop them in such a transitional period in their lives.
